A Windows error is an error that happens when an unexpected condition occurs or when a desired operation has failed. When you have an error in Windows, it may be critical and cause your programs to freeze and crash or it may be seemingly harmless yet annoying.
A stop error screen or bug check screen, commonly called a blue screen of death (also known as a BSoD, bluescreen), is caused by a fatal system error and is the error screen displayed by the Microsoft Windows family of operating systems upon encountering a critical error, of a non-recoverable nature, that causes the system to "crash".
One of the biggest causes of DLL's becoming corrupt/damaged is the practice of constantly installing and uninstalling programs. This often means that DLL's will get overwritten by newer versions when a new program is installed, for example. This causes problems for those applications and programs that still need the old version to operate. Thus, the program begins to malfunction and crash.
Computer hanging or freezing occurs when either a program or the whole system ceases to respond to inputs. In the most commonly encountered scenario, a program freezes and all windows belonging to the frozen program become static. Almost always, the only way to recover from a system freeze is to reboot the machine, usually by power cycling with an on/off or reset button.
Once your computer has been infected with a virus, it's no longer the same. After removing it with your anti-virus software, you're often left with lingering side-effects. Technically, your computer might no longer be infected, but that doesn't mean it's error-free. Even simply removing a virus can actually harm your system.
Reimage repairs and replaces all critical Windows system files needed to run and restart correctly, without harming your user data. Reimage also restores compromised system settings and registry values to their default Microsoft settings. You may always return your system to its pre-repair condition.

Messages - Msg 8152 Error Message Server: Msg 8152, Level 16, State 9, Line 1 String or binary data would be truncated. The statement has been terminated. Causes: This error is usually encountered when inserting a record in a table where one of the columns is a VARCHAR or CHAR data type and the length of the value msg 8152 level 16 state 14 string or binary data would be truncated being inserted is longer than the length of the column. To illustrate, let’s say you have the following table: CREATE TABLE [dbo].[Students] ( [StudentID] INT, [FirstName] VARCHAR(10), [LastName] VARCHAR(10) ) Issuing the following INSERT statement will generate this error message: INSERT INTO [dbo].[Students] ( [StudentID], [FirstName], [LastName] ) VALUES ( 12345, 'Rumpelstiltskin', '' ) Msg 8152, Level 16, State 9, Line 1 String or binary data would be truncated. The statement has been terminated. Since the [FirstName] column will only accept 10 characters, the INSERT statement will fail because the length of the value being inserted is more than 10 characters. The error can also be encountered when decreasing the length of a VARCHAR or CHAR column in a table that already contains data and the new length of the column is not long enough to accommodate the longest value in the column. CREATE TABLE [dbo].[Students] ( [StudentID] INT, [FirstName] VARCHAR(20), [LastName] VARCHAR(20) ) INSERT INTO [dbo].[Students] ( [StudentID], [FirstName], [LastName] ) VALUES ( 12345, 'Rumpelstiltskin', '' ) ALTER TABLE [

First, let’s understand the error which I am talking about:Msg 8152, Level 16, State 14, Line 8 String or binary http://blog.sqlauthority.com/2015/02/14/sql-server-msg-8152-level-16-state-14-string-or-binary-data-would-be-truncated/ data would be truncated. The statement has been terminated.I am sure that many developer might have seen this error at least once in their lifetime. This particular error message is raised by SQL Server when we try to insert long literal sting is longer than the defined table field datatype. For example, if we try to insert a varchar with more than 100 characters into a varchar(50) field, we will get the following error. Here is an example script to reproduce the error: USE tempdb
IF OBJECT_ID ('MyTable') IS NOT NULL
DROP TABLE MyTable

I (we) did not create the database - it was sent over to us by another company. I'm msg 8152 still a rank newbie at working with MS SQL Server, though I've worked with Access and MySQL in the past. There is one table that contains bank information. At the moment, it is filled with information on imaginary (fake) banks. I need to change one record so that it contains the information of msg 8152 level a real bank the company is using. The problem is, I am unable to touch anything within this table. Any attempt to make changes gives me an error prompt that reads "String or binary data would be truncated". I ran the profiler, and it shows an Exception - Error: 8152 Severity 16 State 2. Furthermore, I also get an error prompt stating: "The value you entered is not consistent with the data type or length of this column". I've checked and checked again, and as far as I can tell, the value I entered _is_ consistent with the data type/length of the column. I can make changes perfectly fine on the other tables in the database. Only this one table gives me trouble. Could anyone shed some light on why exactly this is occurring, and why only on this one table? Thank you :) Monday, October 17, 2005 9:22 PM Reply | Quote Answers 0 Sign in
